Unused medicines cannot be recycled and can cost hospitals huge amounts of money with people re-ordering repeat prescriptions 'just-in-case' without checking what stock they already have. This leaves patients with full cupboards of unused medicines and the NHS with empty pockets.
'Saving for a Rainy Day' is a campaign aimed at making people think twice before aimlessly stocking up on supplies that would probably just go to waste.
